How can I get a better nights sleep?

Have you ever been at the office or jobsite and your coworker is yawning and complaining about how poorly they slept the previous night?  You'll hear things like "I just couldn't get comfortable" or "I tossed and turned all night".

Some factors we can't account for, but there are a whole slew of things we can do, if we are so inclined, to help ourselves get the rest we need.  Often times the mattress is only part of the problem.

Here are the top ten tips from the Better Sleep Council on how to get better sleep:
1: Attempt to maintain a regular sleeping schedule
2: Establish a regular bedtime routine
3: Create a sleep-conducive environment in your bedroom
4: Sleep on a comfortable mattress and pillows
5: Remove distractions such as televisions from your bedroom
6: Finish eating 2-3 hours before bedtime
7: Exercise regularly
8: Avoid nicotine
9: Avoid caffeine
10: Avoid alcohol close to bedtime
