Therapedic TheraLuxe HD Jackson Firm

Feel: Firm / harder HD feel

Best for: Larger sleepers, back sleepers, stomach sleepers, and people who want a firm, no-sink feel and are tired of mattresses breaking down too quickly.

Why we show this mattress:
We show the Jackson because durability is a real feature. This is the no-nonsense firm model in the HD lineup, built for people who want stronger support and less surface softness. It is not here to be the fluffiest bed in the store. It is here for customers who want a firmer feel, stronger components, and a mattress that feels more serious underneath them.

The no-nonsense firm mattress in the TheraLuxe HD lineup

The TheraLuxe HD Jackson Firm is the firmest, most straightforward model in the TheraLuxe HD lineup. It is built for customers who want a heavy-duty support system, a firmer but no rock-like surface, a strong edge support, and just more overall durability than a standard mattress.

This is not the softest bed in the store, and it is not trying to be. The Jackson exists for people who are tired of mattresses breaking down, sagging, hammocking, or feeling weak under them.

Comfort and feel

The Jackson has a firm, “flatter” feel with just enough cushioning to keep it usable and not on the ‘too hard’ spectrum that some extra-firms can be known for. It gives you a stable, supportive sleep surface with minimal sink.

That makes it a strong option for back sleepers, stomach sleepers, larger sleepers, and anyone who knows they prefer firm support.

Best for

  • Back sleepers
  • Stomach sleepers
  • Larger or heavier sleepers
  • Firm-bed shoppers
  • Customers who sit or sleep near the edge of the bed
  • People who have been disappointed by mattresses that softened too quickly
  • Shoppers who want heavy-duty construction at the lowest HD price point

Heavy-duty construction

The Jackson is built with the TheraLuxe QLX® HD wrapped coil unit by Leggett & Platt. This is a high-count, heavy-duty pocketed spring system using 17-gauge Quantum encased coils. In queen size, the unit contains 1,872 coils.

Above the coils, the Jackson uses 3 inches total of high-density polyurethane comfort foam: approximately 1 inch of 2.1 lb foam in the quilt and 2 inches of 3.0 lb TheraFoam™ underneath. These foams are denser than the foams commonly found in many standard mattresses, which helps the mattress resist early softening and body impressions.

Edge support

The Jackson uses TheraEdge™ foam encasement around the perimeter of the mattress. The current product page lists 3 inches of 50-lb density compression foam around the spring unit, plus extra heavy-duty base foam bonded to the encasement for added stability.

That edge system helps the mattress feel more stable when sitting on the side of the bed and gives more usable sleeping surface from side to side.

What makes this heavy duty?

  • Firm tight-top HD feel
  • Approximate 11.5-inch profile
  • TheraSafe™ fire barrier
  • 1″ Superior High-Density polyurethane foam (2.1lb)
  • 2″ TheraFoam™ comfort layer (3.0 lb)
  • QLX® HD 17-gauge wrapped coil system (1,872 coils in queen)
  • 3″, 50lb compression TheraEdge™ reinforced foam encasement
  • Adjustable-base compatible
  • Built in Rock Island, Illinois
  • 20-year non-prorated warranty when sold under TheraLuxe HD standards

Our final take

The Jackson is the HD bed for someone who wants firmer without being a rock, strong, and practical bed.  It gives customers the core benefits of the TheraLuxe HD line — stronger coils, denser foams, better edge support, and a really good warranty — without moving into the more expensive ICE models.
